I’m Josh Lashaway, and I help buyers, sellers, and investors across Lubbock and the South Plains make confident, well-informed moves in real estate. The way I built my own career here is the way I approach every client’s — with discipline, patience, and a real investment in the outcome.
My story starts in Seminole, where I grew up before coming to Lubbock for school — first at South Plains College, then Texas Tech, where I earned a degree in business marketing and management. To get through without taking on debt, I worked several jobs at once: hauling trash at an office park, stocking freezers overnight at Market Street, pulling shifts at a coffee shop, and delivering meals to patients’ rooms at a local hospital. In my final year, I set all of that aside to start a landscaping company — and grew it past seventy accounts before graduation.
After graduation, I sold the business and turned my full attention to real estate. I’d long been drawn to investing and to building something of my own, and I saw more opportunity in this market than anywhere else. The same work ethic that carried me through those early years is what I bring to every client today.
For me, the relationship has always mattered more than the transaction — and it rarely ends at the closing table. Long after the papers are signed, I’m the person clients call to line up a trusted contractor, and often the one who manages the updates personally before a home goes to market, so it sells for its full value.
Just as important, I’m a numbers person at heart. I follow this market closely, and that discipline shows up where it counts most: in pricing a property correctly, in structuring an offer that holds up, and in the moments when a sale comes down to competing bids. It’s also why I keep a steady ear to the ground for off-market opportunities my clients wouldn’t find on their own.
As a Ramsey Trusted agent, I care that every decision is a sound one — that you buy well within your means and come out ahead, never house-poor. Where it helps, I’ll connect you with the right people and resources to get there.
Away from work, my faith and my family are at the center of everything I do. My wife, Morgan, and I met through our church in college and eloped to Hawaii, and today we’re raising our twin daughters and our son here in Lubbock, with a fourth joining us soon through adoption. We’re active at Redeemer Church, we love to host friends and family, and we rarely miss a Texas Tech football or basketball game. When the calendar allows, you’ll find us traveling — often abroad, and usually with the kids in tow, who’ve already collected passport stamps in places like Aruba, Japan, and Panama.
Whether you’re buying your first home, moving up to your next, or adding to an investment portfolio, my aim is the same. From the moment you’re under contract, the details become mine to manage — deadlines, negotiations, contractors, every moving part — so the experience stays genuinely hands-off on your end, and so you come out ahead. I’d welcome the chance to talk.
“Away from work, my faith and my family are at the center of everything I do.”
Let’s talk.
Whether you’re six months out or ready this week, the first step is the same — a conversation.
